IMCTC Trains Palestinian Media Professionals to Counter Digital Extremism

The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) today concluded its specialized media program titled "Analyzing Extremist and Hate Speech in Digital Media – Tools and Smart Countering Technologies" at its headquarters in Riyadh. The program falls under the Peace Journalists Initiative, one of IMCTC’s strategic efforts aimed at strengthening media capabilities to counter extremist narratives.

Thirteen participants from the State of Palestine, representing various media and academic institutions, took part in the five-day program, which focused on analyzing digital discourse, employing smart strategies for confronting hate speech, highlighting the societal risks posed by harmful media narratives, and enhancing professional skills in creating impactful content that fosters a culture of peace and intellectual security.

The Peace Journalists Initiative supports IMCTC’s mission to help member states build media capacity, counter hate speech, and promote tolerance as part of a unified effort to enhance regional and global stability.
