Border Guard Marks World Drowning Prevention Day

In observance of World Drowning Prevention Day celebrated annually on July 25, the General Directorate of Border Guard hosted an awareness exhibition at its headquarters in Riyadh, where it demonstrated search and rescue techniques, showcased first aid methods for drowning incidents, and highlighted crucial maritime safety guidelines and instructions.

 The event primarily focused on raising awareness about avoiding swimming in undesignated areas and the critical importance of never leaving children unsupervised while swimming.

 The public was also reminded of the emergency contact numbers for requesting assistance: 911 for Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern regions, and 994 for all other regions of the Kingdom.
