Civil Defense: Thunderstorms to Continue Across Saudi Arabia Through Saturday

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution, remain in safe locations, stay away from areas prone to flash floods and valleys, avoid swimming in them, and adhere to instructions issued through various media outlets and social media platforms, as thunderstorms are expected to continue affecting parts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through Saturday.

 The directorate stated that Makkah Region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods, hail, and dust storms. Riyadh Region is also expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall, which may lead to flash floods, hail, and dust storms.

 It added that Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Hail, Northern Borders, Madinah, Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, Najran, Qassim, and Eastern regions will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods, hail, and dust storms.
