Afghan Prime Minister Receives the Secretary General of the Muslim World League in Kabul

Afghan Prime Minister, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, received His Excellency the Secretary General of the Muslim World League and President of the Association of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, at the Presidential Palace in the capital, Kabul.

During the meeting, both sides discussed a number of issues of mutual interest, with a particular emphasis on the vital role of Muslim scholars in addressing major global and societal challenges through effective dialogue, in pursuit of positive and tangible outcomes.

Dr. Al-Issa arrived in Kabul yesterday on an official visit during which he is scheduled to meet with senior government leaders and prominent scholars. The MWL delegation was received upon arrival by a number of distinguished officials, religious leaders, and the Director General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s mission in Kabul.
