WAMY Marks World Sight Day
Marking World Sight Day on October 8, the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) underscored the importance of promoting ocular health, preventing avoidable blindness, and expanding specialized eye care for underserved communities worldwide.
WAMY deploys specialized medical convoys internationally to conduct screenings, dispense treatments, and perform sight-restoring surgeries, primarily cataract removals, in underserved regions with limited healthcare access.
Commending Saudi Arabia's leading humanitarian role and global medical aid, WAMY reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining these missions to combat vision loss and improve quality of life for vulnerable populations.
