TGA Strengthens Global Partnerships in Smart Mobility at Transport Logistic China 2026
The Transport General Authority (TGA) strengthened the Kingdom's presence on the international transport and logistics stage through a series of strategic partnerships and participations at Transport Logistic China 2026 in Shanghai.
The authority showcased the Kingdom's enabling regulatory environment for investment and innovation while highlighting promising opportunities in the transport and logistics sector.
Representing TGA, Deputy of Transport Enablement Dr. Omaimah Bamasag sponsored the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Elm Company and Shenzhen Smart Cities Company. The agreement aims to explore cooperation in developing smart mobility solutions and autonomous vehicles, supporting the development of innovative technologies that advance digital transformation and improve service efficiency across related sectors.
Bamasag also participated in the exhibition's opening session, titled "Progressing Confidently Amidst Challenges," where she outlined the authority's strategies for enabling modern and sustainable mobility through a flexible regulatory framework that supports innovation, encourages investment, and promotes the adoption and localization of advanced transport technologies. She also delivered a specialized workshop highlighting the objectives of the Kingdom's logistics sector, its investment-friendly regulatory environment, and the promising investment opportunities available.
During the exhibition, the authority held bilateral meetings with the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Transport and visited Huawei to review the latest developments in smart transportation and artificial intelligence. The meetings focused on strengthening partnerships, exchanging expertise, and exploring opportunities for future cooperation.
At its pavilion within the Kingdom's Transport and Logistics System exhibition space, the authority showcased the transformation of Saudi Arabia's transport sector, highlighting key regulatory reforms, digital initiatives, and innovative solutions that have enhanced sector efficiency and enabled investment. These efforts have also encouraged greater private sector participation, in line with the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
