Hajj and Umrah Ministry Completes 100% Cloud Migration of Data Center

Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah inaugurated the transition of the ministry's Hajj and Umrah Data Center to a fully cloud-based infrastructure, marking the completion of its 100% migration to cloud computing. The move strengthens the ministry's technological readiness, enhances business continuity, and improves the efficiency of digital services provided to the pilgrims, contributing to a smoother and more seamless pilgrimage experience.
The minister said the achievement reflects the continued support extended by the Kingdom's leadership to the Pilgrims Experience Program (PEP) and embodies the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in building an advanced digital ecosystem that elevates the quality of services provided to pilgrims performing Hajj and Umrah.
He noted that the Hajj and Umrah Data Center was established in 2002 and has served for 24 years as the technological foundation of the ministry's digital services. The completion of its cloud transformation marks a shift from traditional IT infrastructure to a fully integrated cloud environment aligned with the latest global technologies.
The transformation represents a new milestone in the ministry's digital development journey by providing a more flexible and efficient technology infrastructure, strengthening business continuity, and enhancing the readiness of digital systems to support Hajj and Umrah seasons while enabling future expansion of digital services.
The Hajj and Umrah Data Center serves more than 20 million pilgrims and Umrah performers annually. Its digital platforms include the Electronic Hajj and Umrah Portal, the Nusuk application, and the Nusuk Card. The center is integrated with more than 70 domestic and international entities, supports over 51 million users of the Nusuk ecosystem, and delivers more than 500 digital services.
