KSrelief Masam Project Clears 1,095 Mines in Yemen in One Week

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project for clearing landmines in Yemen removed 1,095 mines during the third week of May 2025. These included 32 anti-tank mines, 7 anti-personnel mines, and 1,056 unexploded ordnances across various regions of Yemen.

This brings the total number of mines cleared in May to 4,207 and raises the overall number of mines removed since the beginning of the Masam Project to 494,351. These mines were planted randomly throughout Yemeni territory, posing a severe threat to innocent civilians—particularly children, women, and the elderly—and spreading fear among peaceful communities.
