Round 3 of FIA Middle East Rally Championship, 'Rally Saudi Arabia,' Kicks Off Thursday
Rally Saudi Arabia is set to kick off on Thursday in Jeddah as part of the third round of the 2025 FIA Middle East Rally Championship (MERC), under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport and organized by the Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) and the Saudi Automobile and Motorcycle Federation (SAMF).
The rally, spanning 824.35 kilometers over two days, will feature 22 drivers from eight countries—Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Lebanon, Finland, and India—competing in 22 vehicles across the Rally2 and Rally4 categories.
The Jeddah Corniche Circuit will serve as the official venue.
Competitors will launch the first stage of the rally on Friday, east of Jeddah, passing through the areas of Briman, Wadi Al-Matwi, and Umm Al-Jurm. The second stage will take place north of the governorate, covering Al-Ghulah, Asfan, and Dhahban.
Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah and his Spanish co-driver Cándido Carrera hold the advantage in Rally Saudi Arabia, having won the opening two rounds in Oman and Qatar, bringing their total to 22 points.
Saudi driver Rakan Al-Rashed is considered their closest competitor, along with Finland’s Juho Hänninen.
