Field Teams and Smart System Enhance Hajj Pilgrim Guidance at the Grand Mosque
The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has developed its guidance system at the Grand Mosque through the activation of field teams, contributing to improved service quality and smoother movement during peak seasons.
The authority said the initiative aims to reduce visitor disorientation to 8% during this Hajj season through an upgraded guidance system that has served more than 639,770 individuals, helping facilitate access to various locations and services within the Grand Mosque and its courtyards.
The plan strengthens 15 fixed guidance points while expanding the use of 40 roaming field staff, offering greater flexibility in directing and assisting visitors, particularly in high-density areas.
As part of service expansion, the authority has also deployed 20 additional personnel to enhance field coverage and improve direct guidance for pilgrims.
The authority has reviewed the performance of instant translation devices used during the last Ramadan season, assessing outcomes and challenges to develop them ahead of wider deployment during Hajj 1447 AH. This effort helps bolster communication with visitors of different nationalities.
The initiative is part of the authority's service development system aimed at delivering a smoother and safer experience for pilgrims, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 objectives to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
