Makkah Winter Season Revitalizes Jabal Al-Rahmah as Vibrant Visitor Landmark

Jabal Al-Rahmah has been revitalized as a prominent open destination for residents of Makkah and its visitors, following comprehensive development efforts that have transformed the site into a year-round community space and tourist attraction. This transformation has been carefully carried out in a way that preserves the mountain’s profound religious and historical significance, as part of the Makkah winter season.

The development introduced a wide range of services and facilities to enhance visitor comfort and accessibility, including commercial kiosks, drinking water fountains, shaded seating areas, and misting fans that help cool the air, particularly during peak visitation periods.

To improve accessibility and ease of movement, dedicated parking areas for both cars and buses were established, ensuring continuous availability for individual visitors and organized groups.

A designated area was created for government agencies, and a new staircase was constructed to facilitate movement for visitors and emergency personnel, strengthening security measures and enabling efficient access and evacuation when required.

Significant attention was given to environmental and aesthetic enhancements, with more than 10,000 square meters of green spaces added. These improvements have enriched the visual landscape and created an environment that harmonizes with the site’s spiritual sanctity.

The inclusion of Jabal Al-Rahmah in the Makkah winter season reflects a broader vision to diversify destinations and reimagine historical and religious landmarks as vibrant, sustainable spaces, reinforcing Makkah’s identity as a city that seamlessly integrates spirituality, community life, and sustainable development.
