Islamic Affairs Ministry Surpasses 145,000 Outreach Activities, Disseminates 7.2 Million Awareness Messages by 14 Dhu Al-Hijjah
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance has announced the outcomes of its awareness and guidance programs implemented from the beginning of Dhu Al-Qadah through 14 Dhu Al-Hijjah 1447 AH.
These initiatives were carried out as part of the ministry’s comprehensive plan to educate pilgrims and enhance their understanding of Hajj rituals and religious practices.
Statistics showed that more than 145,009 outreach and awareness activities were carried out, including guidance sessions, educational lessons, lectures, and responses to pilgrims’ inquiries across various Hajj sites.
The unified toll-free Islamic awareness hotline (8002451000) handled more than 602,959 calls, responding to pilgrims’ religious inquiries and providing guidance and counseling services in several languages.
The ministry’s digital screens broadcast more than 7,299,200 multilingual awareness and guidance messages, enhancing pilgrims’ awareness and promoting a better understanding of Hajj rituals and instructions.
As part of its direct awareness efforts, the ministry sent more than 67,084,586 text messages to pilgrims’ mobile phones, providing guidance, educational content, and instructions on Hajj rulings, rituals, and regulations.
In addition, it distributed over 401,609 multilingual informational brochures addressing Hajj rituals and Islamic guidelines, contributing to greater religious awareness among pilgrims.
The ministry further affirmed its commitment to continuing the implementation of outreach, awareness, and guidance programs aimed at assisting pilgrims in performing their Hajj rituals with ease and tranquility.
