Islamic Arts Biennale Showcases Treasures of Islamic Civilization and Contemporary Art
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation showcased many of the most important treasures of Islamic civilization through the works of artists participating in the second edition of the Islamic Arts Biennale, titled "And All That Is In Between," which opened in Jeddah at the Western Hajj Terminal of King Abdulaziz International Airport. The Islamic Arts Biennale will also feature unique works of contemporary art that highlight the continued artistic contributions of Islamic civilization, allowing visitors to learn about ways of creative expression of faith through art, encompassing senses, thought, and creativity.
The Biennale will present works by over 30 artists from the Kingdom and around the world across five indoor galleries and several outdoor spaces. The exhibition includes a diverse range of artworks, including historical artefacts, religious objects, maps, and jewelry. Some of these works explore the concept of gardens in Islamic civilization, focusing on the natural world, traditional Islamic garden design, and contemporary environmental and social issues.
