Mohamed El Missaoui, Chief Executive Officer of Bupa CareConnect
11 New Agreements Reflect Bupa CareConnect’s Commitment to Supporting Quality of Life under Saudi Vision 2030
Mohamed El Missaoui, Chief Executive Officer of Bupa CareConnect, affirmed that the 11 cooperation agreements signed by Bupa CareConnect, the healthcare delivery arm of Bupa Arabia for Cooperative Insurance, with a group of leading government entities and major national companies during its participation as a Platinum Sponsor of the Global Health Exhibition 2025, held in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025, reflect the company’s commitment to providing preventive and workplace healthcare solutions in line with the objectives of the Quality of Life Program, one of the key initiatives of Saudi Vision 2030.
He stated in an interview with Riyadh Daily that these agreements reflect the growing confidence in the company’s integrated healthcare model and its ability to combine insurance and medical service delivery within a unified and seamless experience. He noted that this expansion underscores the company’s commitment to redefining the concept of workplace healthcare—transforming it from a purely treatment-based service into a strategic and holistic partnership aimed at developing human capital, improving the efficiency of national healthcare spending, and building healthier and more sustainable workplace environments.
El Missaoui added that Bupa CareConnect currently manages 15 clinics within the headquarters of leading national organizations across the Kingdom, providing an integrated healthcare experience in workplace environments that facilitates access to services and enhances employee productivity. Its partners include the Public Investment Fund (PIF), the National Housing Company (NHC), the Savola Group, the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), and Alinma Bank, along with several major investment and industrial institutions in Saudi Arabia.
He also noted that Bupa, NEOM, and Oura announced a collaboration agreement aimed at promoting preventive health and wellbeing through the use of Oura smart technology to support healthy lifestyle habits. This partnership represents a strategic alignment between Bupa, NEOM, and Oura to deliver smart digital health solutions that integrate prevention and care, contributing to the development of a sustainable national model for preventive health in Saudi Arabia.
El Missaoui stressed that these partnerships mark a pivotal step toward a new phase of expansion targeted by the company in 2025, which includes the launch of a new stage designed to strengthen Bupa’s presence within the workplace healthcare ecosystem through the opening of additional integrated clinics in key cities and regions across the Kingdom. He explained that this move comes in response to the growing demand from national institutions for this healthcare model, which has proven its effectiveness in improving workplace quality of life, reducing absenteeism, and fostering healthier and more sustainable workplace environments.

He added that Bupa CareConnect has adopted the concept of “connected clinics” which link digital and on-site healthcare services in a way that ensures full integration between technological solutions and medical professionals. He pointed out that the company’s digital ecosystem enables doctors and technicians to monitor employees’ health conditions directly and accurately, allowing for early preventive intervention before any health issue escalates. He emphasized that this integration is what makes Bupa a leading model in transforming traditional health insurance into an integrated, prevention-centered healthcare model.
El Missaoui further explained that workplace clinics not only provide direct medical services but also include wellbeing programs, psychological support, and therapeutic nutrition, as well as playing an active role in health awareness and preventive education within national workplace environments.
Regarding the strategic significance of these initiatives on the national healthcare sector, he highlighted that they contribute to achieving the Vision 2030 objective of enhancing the quality and efficiency of healthcare services by expanding accessibility and strengthening integration among different healthcare providers.
He confirmed that Bupa’s experience with its current clinics has shown a tangible impact in reducing absenteeism rates and increasing employee satisfaction, noting that the proximity of care to beneficiaries saves them time and effort while ensuring immediate medical attention for any health or emergency case. The company’s unified digital system also allows for the analysis of periodic health indicators and the preparation of reports that help guide future preventive programs within each organization.
Responding to a question about Bupa’s main objectives at the exhibition, El Missaoui emphasized that the primary goal is to reinforce the company’s position as a strategic partner in shaping the future of healthcare in Saudi Arabia and to continue its transformation journey from a traditional health insurance model to a fully integrated provider of digital and on-site healthcare services.
