KSrelief Launches 4 Volunteer Medical Projects to Combat Blindness in Sudan

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) launched four medical projects under the Saudi Noor Volunteer Program to combat blindness and its causes in the city of Port Sudan, Republic of the Sudan, from December 12 to 20, with the participation of eight volunteers from various specialties.

 The volunteer medical team has so far performed 20 retinal injections, five glaucoma surgeries, 22 minor procedures, and 30 laser operations, all of which were successfully completed.

 The initiative comes as part of the efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to support the medical sector and assist patients suffering from eye diseases in countries worldwide.
