NWC Delivers over 22 Million Cubic Meters of Water in Madinah for Hajj Pilgrims
The National Water Company's (NWC) Northwest Cluster announced today that as part of its operational and technical plan, it successfully distributed over 22 million cubic meters of water in Madinah during the first half of the 1446 AH Hajj season, using a smart operations system to ensure high-quality and efficient services for pilgrims.
The company's development of a smart operations system this season significantly enhanced water supply monitoring in Madinah's central area and holy sites. The effort was supported by 1,203 dedicated personnel, including technical, engineering, and administrative staff, alongside maintenance teams equipped with modern tools and machinery.
NWC ensured continuous 24/7 pumping of potable water to the Prophet's Mosque and other religious sites, with a daily distribution rate exceeding 630,000 cubic meters. To maintain water quality, an average of 775 laboratory tests were conducted daily, totaling 27,125, all in full compliance with approved standards.
Recently, NWC launched a new development phase of its smart operations system, increasing the number of devices that monitor water flow, supply, and quality in real time across Madinah. These advancements are expected to further improve service quality for pilgrims and visitors to the Prophet's Mosque by boosting performance, operational efficiency, and service continuity.
NWC attributes the successful execution of its operational plan to coordinated efforts across all relevant departments, strategic planning, and unwavering government support. This accomplishment reflects the Kingdom's strong commitment to delivering world-class services and enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease, safety, and peace of mind.
