Royal Commission for AlUla Urges Protection of Vegetative Land

The Royal Commission for AlUla emphasized the importance of protecting vegetative land, urging strict adherence to regulations that prohibit driving or using vehicles in ways that cause environmental damage and disrupt the ecological balance.
It clarified that violations of these regulations are subject to escalating fines: SAR500 for the first offense, SAR1,000 for the second, and SAR2,000 for the third. The fines are measures to deter harmful behaviors and safeguard the governorate’s natural and cultural environment.
It also called on all visitors and residents to use designated camping sites, follow environmental guidelines, and contribute to the preservation of vegetative land, highlighting that environmental stewardship is a shared responsibility supporting sustainability and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
The commission also reaffirmed its commitment to raising environmental awareness and intensifying monitoring efforts to conserve AlUla’s natural resources for future generations.
