
ZATCA Foils Captagon Smuggling Attempts at King Khalid International Airport
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) thwarted two smuggling attempts at King Khalid International Airport, seizing over 69,000 Captagon pills that were concealed within the clothing of two arriving passengers.
In the first incident, ZATCA customs officers intercepted 34,588 Captagon pills hidden in the clothing of an arriving passenger, while a second attempt was foiled with 34,457 pills concealed in a similar manner.
ZATCA reiterated its unwavering commitment to tightening customs control over the Kingdom's imports and exports, maintaining a firm stance against all smuggling attempts. This effort aligns with a key objective of the authority's strategy, which focuses on enhancing societal security and protecting the community by limiting the inflow of harmful substances and other prohibited items.
ZATCA urged the public to contribute to combating smuggling to safeguard both society and the national economy.
