Maldivian President Confers Prestigious Honor on SFD CEO for Saudi Arabia's Development Contributions

President of the Republic of Maldives Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has conferred the prestigious Order of the Dignified Rule of Muleege Dynasty (O.D.R.M.D) upon Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) CEO Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, in recognition of Saudi Arabia’s significant development contributions, delivered through the SFD, to the welfare and progress of the Maldivian people.
 The honor was presented during Al-Marshad’s visit to the Maldives, which included the signing of an additional $17 million development loan agreement to support the expansion of Velana International Airport, bringing SFD’s total financing for the project to $217 million. He also participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the Affordable Housing Project, which aims to deliver over 400 fully integrated housing units for more than 2,700 beneficiaries, financed through a $25 million concessional development loan from the SFD.
