Under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Riyadh hosted the Human Capability Initiative (HCI) Conference, attended by a high-profile international delegation including over 20 ministers, alongside elite decision-makers, representatives of global organizations, and experts from more than 60 countries worldwide.

One truth resonated among all attendees: Saudi Arabia possesses an ambitious vision and a comprehensive strategy—one that learns from the past, optimizes the present, and builds a future shaped by today’s aspirations. This philosophy was embodied in HRH the Crown Prince’s patronage of the conference, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in human capital as the driving force behind comprehensive and sustainable development. The HCI is a flagship program of Saudi Vision 2030,launched by HRH to reshape human development through education, training, and skill-building, ensuring future generations are prepared for tomorrow’s challenges.  

His Excellency the Minister of Education, in his capacity as Chairman of the HCI Executive Committee, emphasized in his keynote speech that this initiative seeks to align education with labor market demands, both locally and globally, through impactful partnerships and actionable outcomes. Our ambition is to create a global model for human capability development—right here in the Kingdom” he stated.  

The conference was impeccably organized under the leadership of Eng. Anas Al-Mudaifer, CEO of the Human Capability Initiative, who affirmed in his remarks: Our goal is to empower individuals to compete on a global scale. Today, we are not merely preparing for the future, we are moving beyond preparation, harnessing all resources and efforts to serve humanity and enhance its potential.


The conference featured five pivotal platforms, addressing critical topics such as:  

- Future Skills

- Education in the Digital Age

- Labor Market Transformation

- Youth Leadership

- Innovation in Human Development 


Discussions were led by a distinguished lineup of global speakers, including ministers of education and economy, university presidents, and pioneers in technology and education sectors. The event also witnessed major announcements and agreements, most notably:  

- A strategic partnership between Saudi Arabia’s Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF)and international platforms to enhance vocational and technical training.

- A MoU between the Saudi Ministry of Education and UNESCO to advance cooperation in digital curriculum development. 

- The launch of the Partnership for Skills" initiative, in collaboration with European and Asian nations, aimed at exchanging expertise and fostering innovation in human capability development.  


Given its significance, the conference garnered extensive media coverage and international engagement, underscoring global interest in human development. Participants highlighted the importance of partnering with Saudi Arabia, citing growing confidence in its leadership role in redefining education and vocational training.  

The event introduced a new paradigm for international collaboration, opening promising pathways toward a future that transcends mere preparation—instead forging a reality where capabilities and opportunities converge. Under the slogan #BeyondPreparingForTheFuture, the HCI Conference reinforced Saudi Arabia’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and global competitiveness.
