National Cybersecurity Authority Announces the Start of Licensing Tier 2 MSOC Service Providers
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) has announced the commencement of issuing Tier 2 licenses to provide Managed Security Operations Center (MSOC) services. This move supports the NCA’s strategic goals to boost Saudi Arabia’s cybersecurity sector and attract investment. Ultimately, it aims to strengthen national cybersecurity and ensure organizations across the Kingdom have access to reliable, mature, and high-quality cybersecurity services, while also developing specialized national talent in the field.
Licensed MSOC service providers are authorized to deliver a range of services, including the detection of cyber threats and recommendations on how to address them. Tier 2 licenses permit providers to offer comprehensive MSOC services to all organizations—excluding government organizations and those that own, operate, or host Critical National Infrastructures (CNIs), as defined by the Regulatory Framework for Licensing the Provision of MSOC Services.
A list of companies currently licensed to provide Tier 2 MSOC services is available on the NCA’s official website at www.nca.gov.sa.
The NCA stated that applications for Tier 2 MSOC licenses are still being accepted through the National Cybersecurity Services Portal (Haseen). The authority encourages entities to take advantage of the services offered by licensed providers.
