University of New Haven to Open First International Branch in Saudi Arabia
President of the University of New Haven Jens Frederiksen praised Saudi Arabia as a leader in global educational development. He noted that rapid transformations in the Kingdom's education sector, driven by Vision 2030, create a dynamic environment for attracting prestigious universities and developing innovative programs that meet market demands.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency during the visit of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Frederiksen remarked that the strong demand for educational programs that shape the market made opening a branch in Riyadh a natural decision following the university’s approval last October.
The University of New Haven will be the first institution to open an international branch in the Kingdom, with the Riyadh campus set to welcome students in August 2026. The university is committed to transferring its academic accreditation to ensure quality.
Once fully operational, the University of New Haven – Riyadh branch will accommodate around 13,000 students at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across three colleges: Business and Digital Innovation, Arts and Applied Sciences, and Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing. Initial programs will include Business Administration, Sport Management, E-Sports, Marketing, and an MBA, all aligned with the evolving Saudi economy.
