Over 400 Hajj Flights Depart Madinah Airport to Transport Pilgrims Home

Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah has successfully operated 402 dedicated Hajj flights, facilitating the return of pilgrims of various nationalities to their home countries after completing this year’s Hajj in safety and ease.
As part of post-Hajj season operations, the airport managed a total of 996 direct international flights to 44 destinations worldwide, operated by 50 international airlines. Of these, 402 flights were specifically designated for Hajj pilgrims.
The operations were managed under the supervision of Tibah Airports Operation Company, the official operator of Madinah Airport. The company coordinated closely with relevant authorities to ensure smooth flight scheduling, timely issuance of operational approvals, and orderly departure of pilgrims and other travelers.
Special attention was given to streamlining the departure process for pilgrims. Procedures were optimized using modern technologies and coordinated services to ensure that travelers could complete all departure formalities swiftly and comfortably, from their arrival at the airport by bus to boarding their international flights.
To accommodate this, a designated plaza on the airport’s eastern side was prepared for pilgrim buses. Field teams were deployed to manage the arrival of buses, the offloading of luggage using specialized loading vehicles, and the movement of pilgrims to three dedicated waiting halls. Travel procedures were completed well in advance of departure times, helping to ensure punctual flight schedules and a smooth, dignified departure experience for all pilgrims.
