Health Minister Honors KFSH with First Place in Three Categories at Ada'a Health Award

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH) has won three first-place honors at the eighth Ada'a Health Award.

Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel presented KFSH Riyadh with awards for excellence in advanced specialized care and patient experience, while KFSH Madinah was recognized for excellence in emergency care.

KFSH Riyadh secured first place in the Leadership in Advanced Specialized Care Efficiency Award, which recognizes healthcare organizations for achieving optimal outcomes in specialized care while maximizing the use of available resources, based on performance indicators and data-driven evaluation.

KFSH Riyadh was also recognized for improving the patient experience through shorter waiting times, AI-supported patient flow in emergency and outpatient services, and digital appointment management.

KFSH Madinah received the emergency care award for streamlining patient flow, accelerating inpatient admissions, and strengthening staff readiness. During 2025 and 2026, its Emergency Department delivered more than 300 educational activities and conducted 40 simulation exercises. The department achieved the recognition just four and a half years after opening in February 2022.

The Ada'a Health Award recognizes healthcare organizations that deliver measurable improvements in care quality, operational efficiency, and patient experience. Using performance indicators and data-driven assessments, the award encourages continuous improvement, innovation, and the adoption of best practices in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Health Sector Transformation Program.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre has been ranked first in the Middle East and Africa and 12th globally among the world's top 250 academic medical centers for 2026. It has also been recognized by Brand Finance as the most valuable healthcare brand in the Kingdom and the Middle East, and was listed by Newsweek among the World's Best Hospitals, World's Best Smart Hospitals, and World's Best Specialized Hospitals for 2026.
