Sun, Sea and Sorbet: Turtle Bay Resort's Summer of Discovery
This summer, Turtle Bay Resort invites travellers across the Kingdom and wider region to experience a season shaped by long days outdoors, moments of relaxation, and time spent together on The Red Sea. Designed to make the most of the resort’s coastal setting, the seasonal offerings span water sports, recreation, wellness, evening experiences, and dining inspired by Umluj’s mango harvest.
The Summer Table
Dining at Turtle Bay Resort this season is shaped by one of Umluj’s most distinctive local ingredients, the regional mango harvest. From Muhammadiah Farm, a family-owned grove of more than 400 mango trees inherited across three generations just beyond the resort, the season’s fruit reaches all the resort’s kitchens through the summer. At Luki Luma, this shows up in a breakfast mango market of freshly cut fruit, mango smoothies, rotating lunch and dinner specials built around mango glazes and Red Sea produce, and a mango tart from the pastry team. A chef’s mango station features varieties including Zabadi, Keitt, Sensation and Alphonso, layered into freshly prepared dessert cups.
Across the resort’s other venues, the harvest runs through the wider menus. The Beach Club’s seasonal selection includes chilled gazpacho, watermelon and feta salad, pasta al limone con basilico, and an Umluj mango sorbet and tart, all served against the backdrop of the bay. The Juice Bar offers cooling mango and watermelon granitas, pressed from local produce, with shaved ice, lime, and mint, while H2GO carries lighter on-the-go drinks and rotating beverage specials. A short drive from the resort, the Umluj Mango Festival runs daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM through the season, bringing together 24 local growers in a wider celebration of the harvest.

Days on the Bay
Days at Turtle Bay naturally begin on the water. WAMA, Red Sea Global's watersports brand, offers a selection of paddle and electric watersports, including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, E-SUP and E-Foil. Activities are available daily from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and can be arranged upon request with a minimum of 12 hours' notice.
Guests looking to enjoy wind-powered watersports can also visit Shura Island, where additional activities are available. Transportation can be arranged separately. For those seeking even more adventure, ADRENA, The Red Sea's adventure and watersports hub, offers an expanded selection of experiences just a short drive from the resort.
On land, the experience continues with a range of wellness and fitness sessions, including mat Pilates, dynamic stretching, sea breeze meditation, Tai Chi/Qi Gong and Fascial Energetics. Personal training, along with adult and children's swimming lessons, is available throughout the season.
Family experiences remain at the heart of the season. Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the Little Turtles Hub Kids’ Corner welcomes children aged five to twelve, while children under five are welcome with parent or guardian supervision. Activities include arts and crafts, board games, family bingo, movie sessions, and free play. Families can also come together through beach sports, putting challenges, and culinary activities, including pizza making, cookie decorating, and mocktail workshops on selected days.

A Slower Side of Summer
For female travellers seeking a more private setting, Laha Beach Ladies Club opens daily from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM on a quieter stretch of shoreline within the resort. Managed by a dedicated all-female team, the experience includes exclusive beach access and daily wellness touchpoints in a relaxed and private environment.
As the sun sets, the resort takes on a different rhythm, with family movie nights creating relaxed evening moments. Floodlit Tennis and padel are also available, offering a way to spend the later hours outdoors.
The resort’s 144 contemporary rooms provide a relaxed coastal base for summer stays, with garden and sea views, as well as connecting and accessible options for families and groups.
Located between Umluj and Al Wajh within The Red Sea destination, Turtle Bay Resort sits just 25 minutes by car from Red Sea International Airport, with direct flights from Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam, and beyond. Guests travelling from Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu, and other parts of the Kingdom can also reach the resort by road. Upon arrival at The Red Sea Welcome Centre, guests will continue their journey to the resort using the destination's transportation service.
