Vice Foreign Minister Meets European and African Ambassadors Accredited to Saudi Arabia
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji met today with ambassadors of European and African countries accredited to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh.
At the outset of the meeting, Elkhereiji stated that the terrorist Houthi militia's attacks using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones against civilian and economic facilities and airports in Saudi Arabia constitute fully fledged war crimes. He noted that the militia's attacks had crossed all ethical and religious boundaries by deliberately targeting Makkah, Madinah, Umrah performers, and visitors.
He also affirmed that Saudi Arabia would not relent in protecting its citizens, residents, or visitors, and would take all legitimate measures to defend its territory, repel aggression, and deter aggressors. He reiterated the Kingdom's continued support for the Yemeni people and their legitimate government in confronting attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia.
For their part, the ambassadors reiterated their countries' condemnation of the attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its civilian objects, and vital facilities. They expressed their countries' solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the measures it takes to counter these attacks, safeguard its security and stability, and protect its citizens and residents.
