
Aseer's Business Sector Thrives, Driven by Tourism and Entertainment Growth
Aseer Region demonstrated a notable presence in the Ministry of Commerce's second-quarter 2025 business sector bulletin. The data reveals steady growth in commercial registrations and a significant expansion in tourism, entertainment, and hospitality-related economic activities, underscoring the region's vibrant investment environment and accelerating efforts to diversify income sources and strengthen the local economy.
Aseer recorded 90,584 existing commercial registrations, ranking sixth among the Kingdom's regions. This contributes to the national total of over 1.7 million commercial registrations.
The region saw increased activity in the amusement and games parks sector, reaching 303 registrations by the end of Q2, placing it fifth nationally.
In the wholesale coffee and tea products sector, Aseer registered 751 commercial registrations, ranking among the top five regions.
Aseer was also among the top five regions for new commercial registrations issued in Q2, with 3,875 registrations, aligning with Riyadh, Makkah, Eastern, and Qassim regions. This reflects dynamic commercial activity consistent with the region's infrastructure development.
These indicators collectively highlight Aseer's growing prominence on the national business map, particularly in entertainment, tourism, and hospitality, which are key pillars for the region's development programs and economic diversification.
