Interior Minister Holds Official Talks with Spanish Counterpart, Signs Comprehensive Training Document
Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz held an official session of talks today with Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez in Madrid.
At the outset of the talks, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud said the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasize continuing to strengthen security cooperation with Spain in a manner that serves the common interests of both countries.
The talks covered bilateral relations, ways to enhance security cooperation and coordination between the two ministries, and a number of topics of mutual interest. These included combating crime in all its forms, tracking perpetrators, countering drug trafficking and money laundering networks, fighting terrorism and extremism, exchanging expertise, and developing the capacities of specialists on both sides.
Following the talks, the two ministers signed the Comprehensive Training Document between the two countries' interior ministries. The document aims to promote the exchange of expertise, develop capacities, and support training and qualification programs.
The talks and signing ceremony were attended by a number of officials from both sides.
