Jeddah Schools Launch Third Phase of Swimming Literacy Project for 300 Students
Practical training sessions for the third phase of the Swimming Literacy project have commenced across schools under the General Administration of Education in Jeddah Governorate, organized in partnership with the Saudi School Sports Federation.
The program aims to instruct 300 male and female students in essential swimming techniques while reinforcing core principles of water safety. By pairing hands-on athletic instruction with preventive awareness, the initiative seeks to foster safe, informed participation in aquatic sports.
The project previously completed two phases, beginning in 2025 with the training of more than 2,100 primary school students across seven regions: Riyadh, Qassim, Madinah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, Najran, and Aseer. Conducted by certified coaches at equipped facilities, the program focuses on developing foundational abilities and identifying promising young athletic talent.
