Weqaa Enhances Health Safety of Falcons at King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025
The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Weqaa) continues its active participation in the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2025 through an integrated system of technical and awareness services aimed at ensuring the highest standards of health and preventive safety for participating falcons.
Weqaa’s veterinary teams are closely monitoring the epidemiological situation and implementing veterinary health requirements regulating the entry of falcons into the Kingdom. The center also supports falcon import and export procedures in line with international standards. These efforts aim to safeguard the health of falcons participating in the world’s largest falcon gathering, which brings together elite Saudi and international falconers.
Through its expanded participation, Weqaa seeks to raise health awareness among falconers, advance sustainable development goals related to preserving the Kingdom’s longstanding falconry heritage, and protect animal wealth from epidemiological risks, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
