Yemeni Pilgrim Receives Pacemaker Following Multiple Cardiac Arrests in Makkah

A medical team at King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah, part of the Makkah Health Cluster, successfully implanted a pacemaker in a Yemeni pilgrim after he experienced multiple cardiac arrests.

 The Makkah Health Cluster reported that the pilgrim received critical care during the “golden hour” of cardiac arrest at King Abdullah Medical City. Highly skilled medical professionals performed an advanced valve repair using a catheter and a mitral clip, followed by the implantation of a pacemaker to restore a regular heartbeat. His condition will now be monitored remotely via a smartwatch.
