Lieutenant General Al-Yahya: Launching Makkah Road Initiative in Maldives is Fruit of Cooperation to Serve Pilgrims

Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of Makkah Road Initiative Lieutenant General Suleiman bin Abdulaziz Al-Yahya affirmed that the launch of the initiative in the Republic of Maldives is one of the fruits of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Maldives and reflects the depth of fraternal ties and embodies a history of close and constructive cooperation between the two countries.

 Lieutenant General Al-Yahya said that the Makkah Road Initiative is a true reflection of Saudi Vision 2030, led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister in serving Islam and Muslims, and their constant keenness to facilitate the journey of piligrims from the moment they leave their countries until they arrive in the Kingdom to perform the Hajj rituals and return.

 He added that the launch of the initiative in Maldives will enable its beneficiaries to complete a package of automated travel procedures electronically, saving time and effort in the departure lounge, and will allow them to continue on their way to Saudi Arabia.
