Mongolian Falcon Sells for Record SAR1.4 Million at Riyadh Auction

A record-breaking Mongolian falcon sold for SAR1.4 million at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition's fifth auction session yesterday.
The session recorded overall sales of SAR1,651,000 across three young falcons, opening with lots that fetched SAR151,000 and SAR100,000 before the final bird surged from an opening bid of SAR100,000 to set the highest price in the Mongolian falcon auction's history.
For the second consecutive year, the exhibition has featured a dedicated pavilion for Mongolian falcons, which are widely sought after by regional falconers for their large size, broad wingspan, endurance, and distinctive plumage variations.
The exhibition, held at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, concludes after drawing widespread domestic and international participation.
