SASO Makkah Branch Launches Smart Parking for Persons with Disabilities

The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) has introduced innovative, service-oriented parking spaces for persons with disabilities at its Makkah Region branch to ensure easy access to facilities and services as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance user experience in line with the highest quality standards.

The initiative includes the installation of a smart audio device at these parking spaces, enabling persons with disabilities to request services directly from their vehicles without entering the building. This innovative solution is designed to promote independence and facilitate access to services while addressing users’ specific needs.

This step is part of a broader strategic approach adopted by SASO to improve the beneficiary experience and provide more inclusive services. It also reflects a strong commitment to applying quality standards not only to products and measurements but also to service infrastructure.

Through such initiatives, SASO aims to create a service-friendly environment for all, aligned with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance quality of life and enable various groups to access government services with ease.
