The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development concluded its participation in the Hajj season of 1446 AH, following the implementation of an integrated system of social, organizational, and technical initiatives that significantly contributed to enhancing the efficiency of seasonal work and facilitating the smooth performance of Hajj rituals, in coordination with relevant government entities.
Key services provided by the ministry included hospitality, guidance and counseling, transportation support for the elderly and people with disabilities, and awareness campaigns highlighting available services. Volunteer efforts during the season totaled more than 152,000 hours, reflecting a marked improvement in service delivery and reinforcing the human and social dimensions of the pilgrim experience.
The ministry activated several digital services aimed at facilitating temporary employment and ensuring regulatory compliance. More than 43,000 visas were issued through the "Temporary Work Visa for Hajj and Umrah Services" platform, while nearly 40,000 workers benefited from the "Bab Ajeer" service, which spanned over 3,000 establishments.
The ministry bolstered its social support role by operating 35 centers dedicated to caring for the children of workers and pilgrims during the Hajj period.
To ensure compliance and uphold service standards, the ministry conducted more than 4,500 inspection tours of operational establishments, aiming to enforce labor regulations, maintain a stable work environment, and enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims.
