ICAN 2026 Brings Global Experts to Riyadh to Discuss AI’s Impact on Education and Employment

Experts from more than 50 international and local organizations across the fields of education, employment, and AI will convene in Riyadh from January 28 to 29 for the International Conference on Data and AI Capacity Building (ICAN 2026) to delve into the future of education and its transformation amid the rapid global advancement of AI technologies.
Discussions will focus on how these technologies are reshaping the world of work, their implications for current and future generations, and the new opportunities they create.
ICAN 2026, organized by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA), aims to redefine concepts of work and human capacity building in response to future labor market demands. Participants will showcase practical solutions for empowering young men and women with AI skills, integrating AI into educational systems, and aligning learning outcomes with the most in-demand future skills at both the local and global levels.
By addressing the evolving impact of AI on the job market, the conference provides a valuable platform for academics, AI and data professionals, policymakers, and university students to exchange insights and explore the latest advancements in using AI to serve society and strengthen national capabilities.
ICAN 2026 will feature an accompanying exhibition highlighting cutting-edge solutions and innovations in education and digital transformation from both public and private sector organizations. The exhibition will offer young men and women direct access to educational, training, career, and technological opportunities related to digital transformation in the Kingdom, while enabling them to learn from leading local and international experiences and better shape their future career paths.
