Saudi Arabia, United States Deepen Partnership in ORAN Network Technologies

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has hosted a collaborative workshop with the United States, bringing together representatives from over 20 public and private-sector entities to enhance their digital partnership. The event focused on fostering innovation in the communications sector, strengthening public-private collaboration, and enabling strategic partnerships in advanced technologies.
 Key participants included Nokia and leading American technology companies such as Qualcomm, Mavenir, AT&T, HP, NVIDIA, Intel, DISH, Echostar, Rakuten, and Dell. The discussions centered on opportunities within Open Radio Access Network (ORAN) technologies, aiming to develop a flexible and sustainable digital infrastructure that aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and supports the growth of the digital economy.
 The workshop highlighted recent advancements in ORAN technologies and explored strategies for achieving digital sustainability. Participants discussed ways to enhance network efficiency and innovation while emphasizing the critical role of international collaboration in shaping future technologies.
 The initiative underscores Saudi Arabia's commitment to establishing itself as a global leader in the communications and information-technology (IT) sector. The workshop is part of a series aimed at exchanging expertise and best practices to support the Kingdom’s digital economy and the broader objectives of Vision 2030, a blueprint for the country's sustainable and prosperous future.
