King Salman Reserve Authority Plants over 3,000 Seedlings to Promote Greener Future
King Salman bin Abdulaziz Royal Reserve Development Authority has launched an initiative to plant more than 3,000 seedlings in the reserve’s nursery in Al-Jouf Region, reinforcing its ongoing efforts to protect the environment and enhance vegetation cover as part of its vision for a greener and more sustainable future.
Volunteers from various educational institutions across the region took part in the tree-planting campaign, which forms part of the authority’s active participation in the National Greening Season.
The authority’s broader environmental initiatives have so far included the planting of nearly four million seedlings and the rehabilitation of 750,000 hectares of degraded land. These restoration projects aim to revive ecosystems impacted by desertification and overgrazing, contributing to the return of natural plant life and the preservation of the Kingdom’s rich biodiversity.
