General Authority for Care of Two Holy Mosques Affairs Dedicated to Maintaining Quality of Grand Mosque Carpets

The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque dedicates significant efforts to maintaining the cleanliness and quality of carpets at the Grand Mosque. The carpets, a key part of the worshipper’s experience, include over 35,000 green carpets across 30 locations within the mosque, with additional carpets added on Fridays and during peak seasons to provide ample and comfortable spaces for Umrah performers and worshippers.
According to the authority, carpet care at the Grand Mosque follows a regular program that includes cleaning and disinfecting using advanced and eco-friendly technologies. Maintenance goes beyond cleaning, as all carpets are completely replaced every three days to ensure maximum comfort for worshippers and uphold high standards of cleanliness at all times.
The authority continues to enhance services associated with the Two Holy Mosques to provide visitors with a seamless and comfortable experience. Its operations emphasize quality and sustainability to maintain an exceptional environment for all.
