KSrelief Cooperates to Improve Nutritional Conditions for Vulnerable Groups in Syria

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) today signed a joint executive program with a civil-society organization to improve the nutritional status of the most vulnerable groups — children under five, pregnant women, and nursing mothers — in high-need areas and internally displaced communities in Deir ez-Zor, Hama, Homs, and Aleppo in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The program will deliver integrated preventive and therapeutic nutrition services through trained and qualified teams, helping to save lives and to ensure sustainable recovery. It is expected to benefit 242,000 individuals directly and 403,000 individuals indirectly.

The agreement was signed at KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh by Assistant Supervisor-General for Operations and Programs Eng. Ahmed Al-Baiz.

The program includes upgrading nutrition clinics at health facilities, providing furniture and medical equipment, operating the clinics, building staff capacity, and conducting community awareness activities.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts, through KSrelief, to support the health sector and alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.
