Combining technological intelligence and sustainability, the vehicles operate on hybrid and electric systems, aligning with the city's future aspirations and enhancing the experience for residents and visitors.
The service was officially launched on January 13, 2025, and is being deployed in phases across 47 locations in Makkah. Operating 24/7, it focuses on main stations and the Haram area to ensure easy access.
To enhance safety and reliability, all Makkah Taxi vehicles meet the latest global specifications, featuring in-vehicle surveillance cameras, passenger-counting sensors, an emergency button for rapid response, and a dedicated call center. The vehicles also include front and rear information screens with multilingual descriptions of destinations and landmarks.
