Renewed Exhibition Showcases the Architectural Legacy of the Two Holy Mosques

The Exhibition of the Two Holy Mosques' Architecture stands as one of the most prominent cultural and civilizational landmarks in Makkah, showcasing rare artifacts and architectural models that narrate the historical development of the architecture of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque across the ages. The exhibition reflects the deep historical and cultural significance of the Two Holy Mosques and their central role in shaping Islamic identity and enriching the cultural landscape.

Located in Umm Al-Joud District, the exhibition spans an area of approximately 1,200 square meters. Its architectural design harmonizes with the classic Islamic style, specifically mirroring the distinct architecture of the Grand Mosque, offering a comprehensive experience that visually and culturally connects visitors to the spirit of the sacred place.

According to the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, the exhibition is currently in its pilot operational phase following a comprehensive development process, which included a full technical infrastructure upgrade, a modern re-display of historical and museum pieces, and enhanced visual experiences through advanced lighting systems that highlight the intricate details of the exhibits and enrich the visitor experience.

The renewed exhibition aims to convey the heritage of the Two Holy Mosques to both the Islamic and global communities, expanding awareness of the history of Islamic architecture through unique enriching experiences. It also seeks to enhance community engagement and connect new generations with their authentic civilizational heritage.

The exhibition is staffed by qualified Saudi youth, providing visitors with comprehensive educational and guided services and offering detailed insights into the exhibition’s various sections and contents.
