Interior Ministry: Hajj Season Concludes Successfully, Leaving a Lasting Legacy Recorded by History and Retold by Narrators

At the end of every Hajj season, the Ministry of Interior announces the success of its security and operational plans and immediately begins preparations for the next season from Mina, even before the last pilgrim leaves Saudi Arabia for home after completing Hajj safely and securely.

Thus, one chapter concludes as another begins. The Ministry of Interior, regional principalities, and security sectors, in cooperation with partner agencies, combined their efforts to form a protective shield for pilgrims. Security personnel stood in organized ranks to protect, guide, and serve pilgrims, while the voices of the faithful united in the remembrance of Allah Almighty.

This year, as in every year, the Ministry of Interior mobilized its security, media, and communication capabilities to serve, protect, and raise awareness among pilgrims. These efforts began in pilgrims’ home countries through the Makkah Route Initiative, implemented for the eighth year in 10 countries across 17 international departure points.

At the Kingdom’s air, land, and sea entry points, regional principalities and the General Directorate of Passports continued facilitating arrivals and welcoming pilgrims, setting the Hajj journey in motion toward the holy sites. The comprehensive system of services was completed through coordinated security and organizational efforts by government agencies, entities, and volunteers under the leadership of the Hajj security forces.

The annual Hajj security parade for 1447 AH sent a clear message to the world that Saudi Arabia would spare no effort to safeguard pilgrims. Serving pilgrims remains a source of pride and honor for the Kingdom, with their security placed at the forefront of national priorities.

State institutions and agencies mobilized personnel and resources in support of this mission, while commanders at the Hajj security forces commanders’ conference declared that pilgrims’ safety is a "red line." From border crossings, airports, and seaports to arrival stations, roads, and the holy sites, Saudi men and women extended a helping hand to pilgrims, serving and assisting them throughout their journey.

The Ministry of Interior’s security, health, service, media, and communication efforts came together to mobilize all available capabilities in service of pilgrims. These efforts underscored that Hajj management and organization represent a distinct model shaped by national hands under a leadership that places service to the Two Holy Mosques and their guests at the top of its priorities.

Field security and traffic plans facilitated pilgrims’ movement to Mina and Arafat, their transfer to Muzdalifah, and their return to Mina with ease, safety, and operational efficiency. The stoning of the Jamarat and the Farewell Tawaf were completed in an atmosphere of security, comfort, and reassurance. All operations were carried out under the direct supervision of Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz.

The 1447 AH Hajj season has concluded, leaving a lasting impact in the memory of every pilgrim. It will also be remembered in every effort made to ensure pilgrims’ safety, security, and well-being, and in every hand extended in service and assistance.
