The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) has released its GameMode report for Q4 2025, evaluating the performance of telecom service providers across leading online games in the Kingdom and revealing a 57% overall improvement compared to Q4 2024.
Key findings show that Mobily and stc led download speeds on the STEAM platform at 100%, with Mobily topping Xbox at 97% and sharing the PlayStation lead with Salam at 98%.
The report also reveals that the two providers led the rankings for best response time across 11 major games, while stc won the Platinum Game Operator award for the second half of 2025 in recognition of its improvements to gaming experience quality, local game hosting, and support for the gaming community.
Additionally, the report provides guidelines for users to improve their internet connection quality. It also explains how users can play an active role in the GameMode initiative by registering for the FTTH measurement device, which allows them to track their internet performance, including the quality of leading apps and games.
The GameMode initiative aims to boost competition among telecom providers, enhance market transparency, and support Saudi Arabia's growing gaming community. The full report is available at cst.gov.sa/GameMode.
