Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Receives Guinness World Record Certificate for Hajj and Umrah Health Innovation Hackathon

Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz received the Guinness World Record certificate for the Hajj and Umrah Health Innovation Hackathon from Governor of Jeddah Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Jalawi at the Jeddah Governorate headquarters today. The hackathon was officially recognized as the largest health hackathon in the world.
The presentation took place during a meeting attended by Director of the Ministry of Health branch in Jeddah Dr. Mishaal Al-Sayali, CEO of the Second Health Cluster in the governorate Dr. Shadi Alkhayyat, and a number of health sector leaders. Prince Saud was briefed on the organizational efforts behind the event, which represented the culmination of close cooperation between the Second Health Cluster and the “Lenobadir” (Let’s Initiate) program, with the participation of more than 16 government and private entities.
The hackathon aims to harness innovation to develop high-quality health solutions that serve pilgrims, empower national talent, and promote a culture of social responsibility. Launched last October, the Hajj and Umrah Health Innovation Hackathon attracted more than 500 participants and featured four main tracks: health product innovation, health service innovation, innovation in improving the pilgrims’ health experience, and health media innovation.
