19 Years of Excellence: Al-Jouf International Olive Festival Showcases Premium Harvests
For nearly two decades, the Al-Jouf International Olive Festival has served as a key economic driver for the region, contributing to increased market value for olive oil and table olives. Since its inception 19 years ago, the festival has played an important role in connecting small-scale farmers with local, Gulf, and international markets.
The festival aims to enhance production levels and raise farmers’ awareness of international best practices. By encouraging growers to invest in the region’s fertile lands and abundant freshwater resources, the event supports sustainable growth in one of the Kingdom’s most significant non-oil sectors.
This year’s edition features more than 45 olive farms showcasing a diverse range of high-quality products. To strengthen consumer confidence, all products undergo strict quality control procedures, with each batch of olive oil subjected to more than seven laboratory tests conducted at Al-Jouf Municipality laboratories.
