WAMY: Saudi Arabia a Leading Humanitarian Model in Caring for War Orphans

The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) commended Saudi Arabia’s outstanding humanitarian efforts in supporting and caring for orphans affected by wars and conflicts, marking the World Day for War Orphans observed annually on January 6.
The assembly stated that the Kingdom established a unique and effective humanitarian model for assisting one of the world’s most vulnerable groups, noting that Saudi initiatives have extended beyond national borders to reach conflict-affected areas worldwide. The efforts, it said, helped protect thousands of children from poverty and displacement while ensuring them a dignified life.
WAMY stressed that the commemoration of the international day is an important occasion to raise global awareness of the moral and humanitarian responsibility toward war orphans. It added that the Saudi approach, rooted in Islamic values that emphasize the protection, care, and dignity of orphans, serves as an inspiring example.
The assembly further noted that the Kingdom’s work for orphans goes beyond emergency assistance, representing a sustainable humanitarian investment in future generations and a meaningful contribution to easing suffering and building a more stable and hopeful future for those affected.
