Fifth Al Urumah Season Boosts Ecotourism with Diverse Experiences, Rising Attendance
The Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve and the King Khalid Royal Reserve are welcoming visitors to the fifth edition of the Al Urumah Season ecotourism event in the near future. The season anticipates strong attendance from visitors across Saudi Arabia.
Over the past four consecutive seasons, the Imam Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Royal Reserve Development Authority (IARDA) has attracted more than 900,000 ecotourists, highlighting the success of its efforts to establish sustainable ecotourism and raise public awareness about natural resources and environmental heritage conservation.
The fourth Al Urumah Season saw increased engagement in ecotourism activities, with over 400,000 visitors, reflecting the growing interest in environmental tourism. Meanwhile, the number of service providers has increased to 16 in that edition, offering a variety of experiences and packages designed to meet visitor expectations and enhance the quality of ecotourism.
The fourth edition also issued three media filming permits, underscoring the site’s appeal for those documenting natural beauty and biodiversity.
Building on this ongoing success, IARDA is launching the fifth edition of Al Urumah Season this November with a more ambitious vision and a range of innovative programs that balance enjoyment with responsibility. This enhances the event’s status as a leading ecotourism destination in Saudi Arabia.
