
KSrelief Concludes Five Volunteer Medical Programs in Syria
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has concluded five volunteer medical programs in Damascus, Syrian Arab Republic, as part of the Saudi Amal Volunteer Program for the Syrian people, with the participation of 50 volunteers from various medical specialties.
The programs are pediatric and adult neurosurgery, orthopedics, arthrology, pediatric surgery, and cardiac catheterization.
KSrelief's volunteer medical team has successfully conducted 14 surgeries in pediatric and adult neurology, replaced 27 joints, performed 38 pediatric surgeries, and carried out 50 cardiac catheterization procedures for children.
The Amal program aims to organize 104 campaigns in medical and surgical fields, provide training and educational programs, and offer economic empowerment to those in need across several Syrian cities, with over 3,000 volunteers participating. It is part of a series of volunteer medical projects provided by Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, to improve Syria’s healthcare sector.
