Dr. Al-Issa stated, "The approval of the document on building bridges among Islamic Madhabs by Islamic countries marks a significant milestone in the history of the joint Islamic action"

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, the Secretary General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars emphasized the significance of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)'s approval of the "Building Bridges among Islamic Madhabs" document, which was issued by the Muslim World League (MWL) during Ramadan at the Masjid al-Haram. He noted that the OIC's praise for this initiative marks an important milestone in collaborative Islamic action. This represents the concerted efforts to support scholarly movements aimed at serving the Islamic Ummah, strengthening solidarity among its peoples, and addressing the root causes of strife, division, and conflict.

The Council approved the document during its 50th session in Yaoundé, Cameroon, recognizing the historical significance of this initiative. It aims to bridge divides and address the tragedies of sectarian disputes, which run counter to the true teachings of Islam. This document encourages moving beyond longstanding debates that have hindered constructive dialogue, fostering instead an environment where effective discussions can thrive. By doing so, it seeks to heal divisions within the Islamic nation and alleviate the suffering that has prevented it from fulfilling its vital civilizational role, while respecting the identity of each Madhab within a framework of high-quality dialogue.

The document comprises twenty-eight items that address the diversity, differences, and pluralism among Islamic Madhabs. It emphasizes adherence to the guidance of the Holy Qur'an and the purified Sunnah of the Prophet, aiming to unify the words and actions of the Muslim World. The declaration of this document was issued at the end of a comprehensive conference held in Makkah Al-Mukarramah during Ramadan of 1445 Hijri. The event was held under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God protect him, and featured the broad participation of senior muftis and scholars from various Islamic Madhabs and sects worldwide.

As the Muslim people await the outcomes of this historic document, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Muhammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He commended their generous patronage and strong support for the conference "Building Bridges among Islamic Madhabs," as well as Saudi Arabia's efforts to unify the Islamic Ummah and strengthen its solidarity. This commitment is rooted in the Kingdom's leading Islamic role and its honor in serving the Two Holy Mosques and caring for their visitors.
